Coalition notified PLC that the Ellis Family
was interested in selling their property off of Haystack Road. Adjacent to the
previously protected
Little Mountain Tract, the property encompasses over 3,000
linear feet of Mill Creek, a significant tributary of the Mitchell River,
including a large waterfall. PLC successfully acquired the property in 2006.
With the protection of this property, PLC has protected over 15 miles of
stream/river frontage in the Mitchell River Watershed.
