Accreditation
The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of each applicant’s policies and programs. Piedmont Land Conservancy is honored to be considered for application because we hope that Accreditation will be a significant indicator to our members and the community that we can be held accountable as a non-profit that is fulfilling its mission to permanently protect land. The application process is also helping PLC to achieve more consistency and thoroughness in the ways that we operate and serve you.
The Commission invites public input and accepts signed, written comments on pending applications. Comments must relate to how the Piedmont Land Conservancy complies with national quality standards.
These standards address the ethical and technical operation of a land trust. For the full list of standards please visit: www.landtrustaccreditation.org/getting-accredited/2008-indicator-practices.
