Forsyth County - 56 acres protected
Calder and Martha Womble, Ralph and Anne Womble, John
and Fowler Ruffin, John and Linda Garrou, and William and Julia Lambeth. Donation of Conservation Easement.
Protected in 1997, this easement was PLC’s first within Winston-Salem. A group of five neighbors decided to protect their jointly owned meadow including a tributary of Muddy Creek. Located within a highly developed area, Camerille Farms contains some of the largest trees and wooded hillsides in this section of Forsyth County which are now permanently protected through the terms of this easement.
Funding for this project provided by the landowners and PLC.
