Hatteras Financial is an externally-managed mortgage REIT formed in 2007 to invest in single-family residential mortgage pass-through securities issued or guaranteed by U.S Government agencies or U.S. Government-sponsored entities, such as Fannie Mae (FNMA), Freddie Mac (FHLMC), or Ginnie Mae (GNMA). Based in Winston-Salem, NC, we began operations November 2007, upon completion of our initial private offering. Our company is externally managed and advised by our manager, Atlantic Capital Advisors LLC.

Farmland Protection Plan to preserve county agriculture, heritage
On Monday the Surry County Board of Commissioners reviewed an ambitious endeavor to preserve local farmland and spark new interest in agriculture. County District Conservation Director Tony Davis presented the Farmland Protection Plan, following almost two years of research and development.

Our Second Saturday Series - Connecting Kids with Nature outing for June features a visit to the beautiful Fieldstone Acres Farm of J.D. and Betty Jean Foust. This 300 acre PLC-protected farm is located in southern Alamance County. Visitors can explore the fields and forests that make Fieldstone Acres a picturesque part of the Piedmont. In addition guests may fish in the lake located on the property for bass, bluegill and other sunfish. Please bring your own fishing supplies and make sure your NC fishing license is current.
