Piedmont Land Conservancy hosts various events, including Second Saturday outings, that are designed to connect people with nature. Outings include hikes, farm visits, paddle trips and more. Events include our annual bluegrass concert (LandJam) as well as volunteer days, workshops, partner events, and a new nature book and film club.
Saturday, September 14th at 10am: Hike at Pilot Creek Trail
Join Piedmont Land Conservancy and the Foothills chapter of the Sierra Club for a moderate 3 mile hike at the Pilot Creek trail at Pilot Mountain State Park. Our park ranger guided hike will include information on how the trail was added to the park and interesting facts about the land.
PLC and Sierra Club volunteer Carolina Lara will provide Spanish translation for our hike leader as well. All are welcome for this free and educational event.
Please note: this trailhead is NOT located within the main entrance to PMSP. It is located at 301-303 Boyd Nelson Rd, Pinnacle, NC 27043
Friday, October 11th at 8pm: LandJam 2019 with Chatham County Line and Balsam Range
Piedmont Land Conservancy is proud to present the 11th annual LandJam concert to benefit land conservation across the Piedmont of North Carolina at the Carolina Theatre!
Sunday, December 15th at 2pm: Farm Run 2019 at the Crossnore School and Children’s Home
Run through the farm, past animals, crops and scenic views. After the race you can unwind with local beer, hot chocolate, fire pits and (new this year) yoga!
