For PLC’s 2nd Saturday outing this weekend, here’s what you need to know …
From Ken Bridle, PLC’s Stewardship Director: We are going to hike a circuit around Hill Farm in Stokes County which should be about 3 miles and include some rough off-trail terrain. We will visit the Dan River below and above the dam, hike up river along the pool then cut through the woods to other river vistas and explore the old farm that is becoming a game land and public fishing access. Trip time should be about two hours, followed by a stop in Danbury to visit the Arts Place – a new gallery with 28 of Ken’s unique watercolors. Pack a lunch to enjoy at the end of the hike or at the gallery stop.
A contact # for the day is Ken Bridle, PLC Stewardship Director at 336-409-5046.
