Conservation Talk in Winston Salem

PLC staff member Mindy Mock will introduce the featured guest, Randy Johnson, a travel author/editor, who will talk about his new book Grandfather Mountain: The History and Guide to an Appalachian Icon and the new 3rd editions of Hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway and Best Easy Day Hikes Blue Ridge Parkway. All three books and the program touch on the big role that land conservancies have played in the preservation of Grandfather Mountain and the growth of buffering acreage along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Mindy will share information about PLC’s efforts to protect land along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
