Explore the Aquatic Resources of the Dan River

Kevin Hining from the NC Wildlife Commission will help us learn about and explore some of the special aquatic resources in the Dan River. We will learn about stream ecology and Kevin will demonstrate how the technique of fish shocking is used to monitor types and densities of fish populations.

Park at the WRC parking  area across the road from the Hill Farm and Jessup Mill. This will be a low-walking outing with a chance to get your feet wet if you like. Waders are encouraged and a few will be provided.
