PLC has worked with Surry and Yadkin Counties to develop county-based Farmland Preservation Plans. These plans, funded by the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services with a goal to complete them for all NC counties, inventory agricultural activities in each county and make specific recommendations to ensure the future viability of the agricultural economy. These plans will guide political leaders and decision makers in the future.
