Take a Friday afternoon off this spring and come help build trails! On Friday afternoons through the month of April, trailbuilder Tony McGee will lead efforts to create a new trail at the Faith Rock Natural Area in Randolph County. Bring gloves, boots, appropriate clothing, water and a snack – all tools will be provided.

Faith Rock is a Natural Heritage Site as well as a County Cultural Heritage Site, with remarkable Revolutionary War history. PLC acquired Faith Rock last year and is transferring the property to the Town of Franklinville for use as a natural area park and a connector from the Deep River Trail, a rail trail which runs along the Deep River.

Meet at the entrance to the property on Faith Rock Road, 1/2 mile from Andrew Hunter Road.

Let us know you are interested in coming, or get more information including directions, by emailing Palmer McIntyre at pmcintyre@piedmontland.org. *Trailbuilding at Faith Rock is currently geared towards adults only!
